Technology and Materials Design

Course Description:

This course aims to train pre-service teachers of English in the use, selection, evaluation, and integration of technological tools in the process of English language teaching. The course will cover a review of various types of computer/technology resources including Web 2.0 tools, educational Websites and software. Students will be provided with hands-on experience and will develop their own technology-based materials.

Task-based Instruction

Course Description:

The aim of this course is to develop pre-service teachers’ understanding of task-based instruction with a focus on grammar and lexis, and to develop their skills in designing and using tasks accordingly.

Teachers’ Presentation Skills

Course Description:

The aim of this course is to make prospective teachers aware of the classroom atmosphere, and verbal and nonverbal communication styles of teachers. The course is based on reading articles on different topics about teachers’ presentation skills and their effects on the students in the classroom setting.
